Re-drafts are a blast when they let fans rewrite history in their team’s favor — swapping out whiffs for future Pro Bowlers and All-Pros and pretending it was obvious all along. But they hit a lot differently when they rip current stars off your roster and hand them to somebody else. Brent Sobleski’s latest re-draft for Bleacher Report is the latter.
It’s the kind of imagination that makes you want to close the tab before you scroll. Sobleski has rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart going No. 1 overall to the Tennessee Titans. Cam Skattebo heads west to the Los Angeles Chargers at No. 22. And while Abdul Carter still lands with the New York Giants at No. 3, this alternate reality leaves Big Blue without the pair of rookies who’ve already flipped the trajectory of the franchise on its head.

At least Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty comes aboard as a consolation prize at 25... although it's hard to believe the G-Men would trade back into the first to get him, but I digress.
The alternate dimension is a helpful reminder of just how lucky the Giants are to have landed both Dart and Skattebo in real life — because the re-draft world is a nightmare.
Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo head elsewhere in cruel 2025 re-draft reset
Dart’s meteoric climb to No. 1 makes total sense. The 22-year-old has done nothing but impress since taking over the starting job in Week 4, outplaying playoff-caliber teams and giving the G-Men the kind of edge they haven’t had at quarterback since the Eli Manning days.
He’s already racked up over 500 passing yards, 167 rushing yards, and six total touchdowns — and he’s shifted the expectations around a previously abysmal team completely.
Skattebo’s 83-spot rise to No. 22 isn’t much of a shock, either. The former fourth-round, human-sized fire hydrant has become the heartbeat — headbutt — of the offense with Malik Nabers sidelined for the season with a torn ACL.
He leads all rookies in runs for first downs with 21 and is top five in the entire league among running backs in receiving yards. The Bolts get him in this redo, but in reality, he’s become Big Blue's most consistent offensive weapon not named Jaxson Dart. He's also become an instant fan favorite for being an absolute pycho, so that helps too.
Carter stays at No. 3, which is great. He’s the most productive rookie pass-rusher in football, leading all first-years in pressures while lining up everywhere on the field. But the idea of losing both Dart and Skattebo should make every Giants fan appreciate how much this class is actually hitting.
No need to run simulations or revisit alternate universes here. The real timeline is the right one. Full stop.
