All eyes will be on Brian Daboll and the New York Giants on Sunday as they have decided to go with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who will make his first NFL start at home against the Chargers.

The G-Men needed a change after a 0-3 start to the season behind veteran signal-caller Russell Wilson, and the staff believes the rookie has what it takes to help New York get in the win column for the first time this year. Big Blue has been excited about Dart for a while now and feels the first-rounder is ready to take over the offense.

After an impressive training camp and preseason, fans have quickly jumped on board with the idea of the rookie starting for the Giants this week, and even started chanting "We Want Dart" last Sunday. Still, the fans are not the only ones who want to see this change being made; the players do as well.

Jaxson Dart may just be all that and even his teammates already know it

Giants veteran wide receiver Darius Slayton said, "I think he's got all the skills you need to be a successful quarterback," when asked about Dart's ability to succeed on this offense. That should tell you everything you need to know about Dart as a player and why he can help this football team win.

Dart has a great relationship with his teammates, which is another green flag you can add to the list of reasons to like him as a player, as we've seen before with fellow rookie running back Cam Skattebo, who will also be starting this week in favor of an injured Tyrone Tracy Jr.

The seat is not cooling down for Daboll, with the schedule not easing up anytime soon, so a change was needed if he wants to try to keep his job by the end of the season. Daboll has said multiple times that he is confident in Dart and believes he has what it takes.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Daboll and Dart met for 10 hours on Tuesday, and the Giants' head coach said Friday morning before practice that the rookie called him late Thursday night to talk red zone. Daboll called him "all business" and stated that football is always on his mind; if that doesn't get Big Blue fans fired up, we don't know what will.

The Giants fans, players, and even coaches know that this was the right move ahead of Week 4. When the ball is kicked at 1 p.m. ET, it will be up to Dart to prove to everyone why he is the starter and why the future is now for Big Blue.
