If you think things are going bad for the NY Giants following the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in primetime, just wait until you see what’s going on in Dallas. The Cowboys are in hell right now. Nothing is going right for this team.
In Week 6, Dallas had a great opportunity to make a statement taking on the Lions at home. Instead of impressing, Dak Prescott and Co. fell flat on their faces, with people calling for Mike McCarthy to get fired. Yeah, things are not going well for America’s Team.
The same can be said for the one and only Jerry Jones, who continues to get bashed for not making smarter moves in the offseason. Imagine if this team signed Derrick Henry - goodness. Well, Jones has had it with people calling him out, which includes him going after a pair of radio hosts. On Tuesday, Jones threatened their jobs when they were asking him tough questions. Seriously, man?
Jerry Jones threatening to fire radio hosts is a new low even for him
We know Jones thinks he can walk on water, but this is a new low even for him. These are radio hosts/journalists who have a job to do. Did Jones expect them to throw him softballs after an embarrassing loss at home? Their job isn’t to make him look good when things are in the gutter for Dallas.
In Week 6, nothing went right at all for the Cowboys. Hey, the same can be said about the Giants, who are now 2-4 on the year. However, are we seeing John Mara, Brian Daboll or John Mara turn things into a clown show and show total disrespect towards the men/women covering the team? Nope.
Dallas entered the season with hopes of making people forget about the Wild Card Round loss to the Packers last winter, but so far, the team is looking sluggish on both sides of the ball. McCarthy is probably gone after this year, if not sooner.
Jones has made brutal decisions to haunt this team and when people try to hold him accountable, he explodes on them. All the money in the world doesn’t give you the right to be disrespectful, especially when your team is run like a circus. Be better than this, Mr. Jones.
