Headaches are the worst. Some come and go, some stick around longer than you’d like, and some you bring on yourself. NFL teams know that feeling better than anyone this time of year, especially when it comes to draft prospects and what comes with them off the field.
A team like the New York Giants usually doesn’t find out about those red flags until the pick is already in. Some guys are really good at keeping that stuff under wraps. By the time they show up, it’s Scooby-Doo Ruh-Roh.
And then there are the guys who do their best Advil impression and take care of the headache before it even starts. That’s what makes Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love stand out. When speaking with the media, the 20-year-old all but became a marketing executive, telling NFL teams exactly what they’re getting off the field when a team like the G-Men brings him in.
His on-the-spot, no PowerPoint-needed sales pitch might just run Advil out of business:
NEW: Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love shares his pitch to NFL teams:
— College Transfer Portal (@CollegeFBPortal) March 25, 2026
“You draft me, I’m not doing too much… After a game I’m going home, playing video games…and watch anime.”
“I’m a simple guy… I’m not going to cause you no type of trouble.” 🙌🏼 pic.twitter.com/OGBLURtBWY
Giants don’t need another headache and Jeremiyah Love isn’t one
The last thing John Harbaugh and Joe Schoen need is their top-five pick getting distracted and throwing off a season that actually has the bones to be something good.
Love is coming off one of the most electric seasons in college football. He finished with 1,372 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns on just 199 carries, and added another 280 yards and three scores through the air on 27 catches. His efforts earned him All-American honors and had him finishing in the top three of the Heisman race.
Talk about relief.
Anime and video games. It could be so much worse. I mean, that's music to Giants fans' ears. It doesn't get much better than "I'll never be a distraction off the field." Tell me you want to get drafted by the Giants without telling me.
Not only is he a chill guy to hang around with, but he also doesn't mess around with the Cowboys, which makes him arguably the coolest prospect in the class. NBa 2K and Jerry Jones trash talk... best night ever.
It's unclear what the Giants plan on doing at No. 5, but Harbaugh has made it clear he wants to bring physical, smash-mouth football back to North Jersey. And no prospect fits that vision more than Love.
Anime and video games. That’s about as crazy as it's going to get (supposedly). That’s about as headache-free as it gets. Love is widely regarded as one of the best football players in his class. Several draft analysts believe New York is the best landing spot for the stud.
