Unless you're a New York Giants fan, you were probably unaware of just how elite Malik Nabers is--until now. Nabers put up a record-breaking rookie season, but he missed basically all of Year 2 after tearing his ACL. Now that he's back, he's right back up there with the best in the business.
Giants fans are well aware that Nabers is one of the brightest young wideouts in the NFL but got off to a slow start this season on account of both his injury and Jaxson Dart's injury. However, in the last couple weeks, he's reminded us of just how special of a talent he is and is going to end up becoming.
Nabers was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October after he surpassed 100 receiving yards in all four games in the month of October--and the honor was well-deserved. Regardless of if he was catching passes from Jameis Winston or J.J. McCarthy, it didn't matter; No. 1 was straight-up balling now that he's getting fed like a true WR1.

In four games in October across Weeks 4-7, the 23-year-old caught 36 passes for a league-leading 509 yards and two touchdowns. That's more than Ja'Marr Chase, Puka Nacua, and even reigning Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba, so let's give our guy some credit.

That's the thing. Big Blue was already must-see TV on account of the fantastic coaching job John Harbaugh has done, but Malik Nabers is giving fans even more of a reason to tune in. Watching him beat defenders downfield or nab a crazy contested catch is one of the best sights on a Sunday.

If a guy can go for 100 catches and 1,200 yards as a rookie while catching passes from Daniel Jones and Drew Lock, you already know he's special, but I don't think we ever realized how special. Now that Nabers is playing on a winning team, it doesn't feel like he's putting up empty numbers anymore. And in turn, he should break the bank on a new contract extension once eligible this summer.
Let me remind you that the former top-10 pick is lighting up the stat sheet like this, despite New York not having any sort of run game and being the obvious first read on the majority of pass plays. We saw him have a game where he caught one pass for one yard; now nobody is outperforming him. And he's apparently not even 100% yet. If this is 80% healthy, what does 100% look like?
We also need to remember that the Giants lack any sort of real wide receiver depth, so the LSU product is basically putting this receiver room on his back. Darnell Mooney has been a dud, Malachi Fields is only a rookie, and Isaiah Likely is a tight end, so he's carrying production on the outside. And it goes to show you how much of a true safety valve he is, who makes the lives of his QBs easier.
Everything he's done this season is just proof that Malik Nabers hasn't even scratched the surface of his potential. It goes to show you how much he was missed last season and that he's only going to become more dangerous and further cement his status among the elite WRs as he gets healthier.
