We are so back. Like, if we were any more back, we'd be front... which admittedly sounded a lot better in my head. But you get the point. Football is finally here. And what better way to celebrate than blasting "Take Me Home, Country Roads" on a loop for the entire trek from East Rutherford to White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia?
Consider this the official start of the John Harbaugh era for your New York Football Giants. While he’s been masterminding roster construction for months, this training camp is the first time fans get to see the new head coach in action as he sculpts a 53-man roster out of the offseason's 90.
A new era brings massive questions. What will the defensive line look like? Who claims the starting cornerback spot opposite Paulson Adebo? How will a revamped wide receiver room shake out? Most importantly, how does Jaxson Dart look entering Year 2 under new offensive coordinator Matt Nagy? Like most of you, I cannot wait to watch these answers unfold.
Consider this your ultimate survival guide as we dive into everything Giants training camp 2026 has to offer. Lock in, bookmark this page, and let’s get to work:

Top lessons learned from Giants training camp so far
Takeaway 1: Odell Beckham Jr. looks ready to crash the 53-man roster
Just saying (writing) it out loud sounds weird, but after the day OBJ had on Wednesday, you cannot tell me that the 33-year-old doesn't belong on a roster. Sure, it's Day 1, and I'm known to get carried away, but he was looking electric coming in and out of breaks and performed well in drills. It's still too early to say he will definitely make the roster, but he proved he can still play football at a high level, and that gives him a fighting chance.

Takeaway 2: Abdul Carter's breakout is starting to feel very real
By now, you've likely heard about Carter's more down-than-up rookie season. After struggling with maturity and accountability early on, the 22-year-old finally snapped out of it and finished the season on an absolute tear, flashing the talent that made him the third overall pick in the 2025 Draft.
He's been poised for a breakout ever since, with training camp really being the first opportunity to show up. Well, after three "would-be" sacks and frustrating All-Pro left tackle Andrew Thomas all afternoon, it's safe to say his time is coming. He's looked really freaking good so far, leaving fans to believe the inevitable breakout is legit.

What Jaxson Dart is saying
Dart made it clear after Day 1 of camp that an up-and-down rookie season left him with a chip on his shoulder and an obsession with turning things around.
He's absolutely loving the intense, ego-free energy under his new head coach, noting that the entire locker room is completely buying into the new coach's hyper-observant style. The 23-year-old is hyped about the offense's potential once Nabers and Skatt are fully healthy, raving about Nabers' undeniable "aura" and elite, dog-mentality competitiveness:
"I think his mindset. He's just a dog. He's an ultimate competitor in everything that he does, whether it's playing ping pong in the locker room – he's obsessed with competition. He wants to win. He wants to be the best. Those are guys that you want to be around."
Mechanically, Dart feels comfortable after repping the hell out of the team's new under-center looks this offseason, and he wrapped up Day 1 thrilled with the unit's zero-penalty execution.
What John Harbaugh is saying
Harbaugh didn't waste any time setting the tone at the podium, making it crystal clear that this trip to West Virginia isn't some relaxed summer vacation.
He was absolutely thrilled with the setup at The Greenbrier, but his main focus was preaching regular-season urgency -- emphasizing that every single rep from here on out is about how it will translate to actual games, not just checking a box.
He praised the roster's locked-in, business-first attitude and highlighted Dart's sharp pre-snap command of the offense:
"I thought he had a good day today. He had us in and out of the huddle, called everything correctly, did a great job with the cadence at the line, did a great job with the motions, all those things, those pre-snap things that are so important. And then he executed the plays well."
