If you haven’t considered buying Cam Skattebo stock in fantasy, I would now, after the NFL Draft.

The fantasy football season is right around the corner. If you haven’t thought about who you’re going to draft this year, consider taking New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo.

Skattebo is coming off a season-ending injury, which has many doubting his potential in year two. Still, there is optimism for the 24-year-old this year, for both the G-Men and your fantasy teams.

Big Blue fans and football fans in general should be even more thrilled with the idea of drafting Skattebo after seeing what the Giants did to improve their offensive line at this year’s NFL Draft.

Fantasy managers shouldn't think twice about drafting Cam Skattebo

Nic Bodiford of Pro Football Focus recently highlighted Fantasy Football veterans who benefited the most from the 2026 NFL draft, and Skatt was among them.

Bodiford is confident that Skattebo’s direction is straightforward, especially after the Giants used a first-round pick on top-tier tackle Francis Mauigoa out of Miami, who earned an 87.0 pass-blocking grade from PFF. Mauigoa is also known for his run-blocking abilities, which is what Skatt should thrive off of the most this season.

Last season, in eight games, Skattebo rushed for 410 yards and five touchdowns on 101 carries, averaging 4.1 yards per carry. He also caught 24 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns on 32 targets, averaging 8.6 yards per catch.

Building on those stats, Skatt averaged about 16.0 fantasy points per game when healthy. This production became even more impressive during Weeks 4-7, when he broke out by averaging 19.2 points per game, putting him in high-end RB2 or RB1 territory. Before his Week 8 injury against the Eagles, Skattebo was on pace to finish as the ninth-best running back in all of Fantasy Football.

Looking ahead, Big Blue fans and fantasy managers will get a full healthy season out of Skattebo with Mauigoa blocking up front for him. In addition, the Giants also signed fullback Pat Ricard, which should make Skatt’s life a lot easier. Not many linebackers and defensive linemen can tackle him to begin with, but now they’ll have to go through Sisi and Pancake Pat just to get to him.

Skattebo totaled 617 yards in eight games last year, which just makes you think what he could’ve accomplished in his rookie campaign had he stayed healthy. Now, with what should be a better offensive line, we could be looking at Skatt getting 1,000 all-purpose yards in 2026.

Why even bother trying to stop Skattebo? You might as well let him walk into the end zone! If that's the case, what reason is there to pass on him when drafting your fantasy teams?
