Giants add Cam Ward, fix biggest defensive hole in 3-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft
By Mike Luciano
The New York Giants just may end up being the worst team in the NFL, as their 2-11 record has come with some truly rancid football, the release of Daniel Jones, and a Brian Daboll-led coaching staff that could easily be shown the door.
Whoever ends up in charge of this mess will need to decide on a new franchise quarterback, likely either Miami's Cam Ward or Colorado's Shedeur Sanders. Additionally, the offensive line is far from complete as is currently constructed, and the defensive backfield is not going to scare anyone.
Not only do the Giants have to select the right quarterback, but they need to build him a roster they can get the most out of him. This 3-round Mock Draft should be enough to give that new quarterback all the tools they need to become a success.
New York Giants 3-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft
Round 1, Pick 2: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
Given all the smoke surrounding Sanders and the Las Vegas Raiders, Ward may end up with the Giants irrespective of who has the worse record. While Ward is not as accurate as Sanders, and he is prone to a few heat-check throws that can drive fans crazy, but he profiles as a quality pro starter.
Ward has a ballistic arm that can rip every throw in the book down the field, and he has proven to be a lethal thrower both in the pocket and out of structure. Ward's arm gives him a very high floor in the pros, as the combination of the former Miami star and Malik Nabers could be lethal.
Round 2, Pick 33: Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State
The cornerback room came into the year with such promise, and it has fallen flat on its face. Between Cor'Dale Flott taking a step back and Deonte Banks finding himself in hot water due to concerns about an apparent lack of effort, the Giants clearly need one more big name in this room to help turn the tide for the better.
Burke is a huge gambler who can give up some big plays, and he won't blow anyone away with his speed, but he makes up for it with a strong reading of the game playing more physically than any other corner in this class. A strong tackler and jammer at the line, Burke has high-end starter potential.
Round 3, Pick 66: Armand Membou, IOL, Missouri
Membou is a below-average power player at the offensive line position, which is far from idea. He will need a year of fine-tuning and adding a bit more functional muscle before anyone can call him a true starter in the pros, but he has athleticism oozing out of him.
Membou has tremendous movement skills for the position, and they are exacerbated when paired with solid technique and a quality motor. The Giants offensive line is better than it has been in previous seasons, but they need one more player like Membou at the top of the third round to turn things around.
