In a weird way, it's not hyperbole to say that the New York Giants roster the most interesting man in the National Football League in Jameis Winston. He's not your run-of-the-mill backup quarterback designed to mentor Jaxson Dart; he's one of the most enjoyable personalities in the modern NFL.

At this point, Famous Jameis has become a walking sound byte, and it feels like every time he opens his mouth, he makes Giants fans love him just a little bit more. And the more he does, the more he becomes not just a countrywide sensation, but he's on the verge of becoming a global phenomenon.

Since the Giants don't start training camp until July 28, Winston has taken advantage of the summer break to keep showing off his personality and expanding his outreach to other sports. And the more side quests he partakes in, the more inevitable it is that he'll venture into sports media after retiring.

Jameis Winston has been must-see TV during the FIFA World Cup

With Big Blue not requiring his services yet, the 32-year-old has been involved with the other football. Jameis has spent the last couple of weeks as a World Cup correspondent with Fox Sports, which The Athletic's Charlotte Carroll labeled as the most interesting story of the offseason for Giants fans.

"No one is staying booked and busy like quarterback Jameis Winston," Carroll wrote. "The Giants veteran backup is working as a FIFA World Cup Correspondent for Fox Sports, and he’s been traveling the country as he intermingles with soccer fans. He’s been knighted by England fans, hung out with a goat in honor of Lionel Messi, found himself in the orange Dutch army and even helped Japanese fans clean up the stadium post-match."

Carroll followed up by bringing up some of the things that the veteran signal-caller has done as he travels the country, and they're quite on brand for a man with such infectious energy. Not everyone can hang out with a goat and make it so comedic.

The former No. 1 pick has done his fair share of NFL media, but soccer fans are a different level of dedicated--and he's learning this first-hand. We've enjoyed an exciting FIFA World Cup as is, but a sprinkle of Jameis so all of these international fanbases can get to know him is the cherry on top.

The fact of the matter is that Jameis Winston is a national treasure, and in addition to his work with the New York Giants, we can't get enough of him. The World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the world, so it's nice to see him proving he has the chops to become the next Pat McAfee in due time.
