We are now less than three months away from the 2025 NFL Draft, and the New York Giants are one of the few select teams which hold a lot of power at the top of the order.

Currently owning the no. 3 overall selection, New York has a variety of ways they could go depending upon how the first two picks shake out.

One of the more intriguing conversations being had, lately, is the idea that the Tennessee Titans may not take a quarterback at no. 1 overall. With a clear need at the position after Will Levis' struggles last year, the Titans should attack the quarterback position.

But, it sounds like they are truly prepared to go with the best player available, regardless of position. At least, that's what reports have been stating early on. Along those same lines and same reports, NFL Network's insider Ian Rapoport recently gave an update on these top three teams and current strategies.

Rapoport did note how the Titans are not going to pass up on a "generational" player with the first overall pick, and insinuated that it very well could be a position other than a quarterback. Also within this report, he gave an update on both the Cleveland Browns, who own the no. 2 pick, and the Giants.

The Giants are prepared to take a quarterback with the no. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft

"The Browns are probably going to take one (a quarterback). The Giants are probably going to take one," Rapoport said.

Well, there it is; the most obvious of all statements when it comes to the Giants' pre-draft plans, right now. Of course, it doesn't take a keen football mind to understand what the Giants are going to do with that first-round pick.

Now, the questions revolve around which quarterback the Giants might take along with the slim chance New York tries to trade up just one or two picks in order to land their guy. If word continues that the Titans are going with someone like edge rusher Abdul Carter or two-way stud Travis Hunter, then they won't need to trade up.

More Giants news:

Who would the Giants be targeting?

"Joe Schoen, the general manager of the Giants, has gone out of his way to talk publicly about how much he likes Shedeur Sanders," Rapoport noted.

Right now, it sounds like New York would love to draft Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, the son of Hall of Famer and current Colorado coach, Deion Sanders.

Widely looked at as the top quarterback prospect in the draft, it's either going to be Sanders or Cam Ward out of Miami, for the Giants.

The two of them are very different players, with Sanders being more of a pocket passer and Ward posing the dual-threat. But, Schoen has given every indication he'd choose Sanders, if given the option.
