For all intents and purposes, the New York Giants' offseason has officially kicked off with the East-West Shrine Bowl. Sure, the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are set to battle in New Orleans for the Super Bowl next week, but all eyes will be on the draft and who the G-Men will choose to bring in to quarterback the next iteration of Giants.

Armed with a decent amount of cap space and the third overall pick, New York won't have a lack of potential candidates. One name that just won't go away is Colorado's Shedeur Sanders. The Giants and Sanders have seemingly been linked for months. Rumors only intensified as Sanders was caught playing catch in the New York City streets with Giants rookie sensation Malik Nabers.

It’s not just draft pundits, analysts, or fans hoping for this potentially perfect fit—even Sanders seems to be on board, too. Perhaps a little bit too on board (inserts all the eye emojis).

Did Shedeur Sanders drop a massive Giants draft hint at the East-West Shrine Bowl?

Sanders has been at the East-West Shrine Bowl all week. He was invited to participate in practices, meetings, and ultimately in the game. Well, none of that unfolded as it was rumored the Giants, along with the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns, asked Sanders not to throw a single pass either in practice or during the game. They told him to sit out the activities so he wouldn't get hurt.

Maybe there was a bit more to that convo because while at the Shrine Bowl, during an in-game interview, Sanders was caught answering questions on the sideline when he dropped a massively juicy draft nugget. When asked about how it felt being in AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Sanders said:

"I've been in this stadium. It's definitely fun, I know I'll play here very soon against the Cowboys."
(Fast-forward the video below to 2:50 for the full question and response):

It’s definitely interesting, considering the Giants face the Cowboys at least twice a year. Reading too much into it? Maybe. Maybe not. But for the sake of the rumors, it’s fair to wonder if he’s dropping hints about a future in Big Blue. As Taylor Swift once said, "Welcome to New York. It's been waiting for you." Shedeur Sanders, you are a Giant. Not exactly—at least, not yet—but what a scintillating response.

It’s hard to ignore the signs. There’s no concrete proof that Shedeur Sanders is headed to Big Blue, but where there’s smoke, there’s fire—and these rumors have been burning for a while.

The Giants do not control their own destiny, and they will need help if they do target Sanders in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. The Titans and Browns will either have to pass for other prospects, or general manager Joe Schoen will have to maneuver up the draft board to ensure he gets the chance to take him. Either way, it sure seems like Sanders knows where he's ending up come draft night. Now Giants fans will just have to wait and see how it all unfolds.
