UPDATE: Malik Nabers has since been cleared from the concussion protocol. He's ready to go for Sunday vs. the Eagles.

The NY Giants are pretty banged up following the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals - and the timing couldn't be worse. This weekend, Brian Daboll and Co. will be hosting the Philadelphia Eagles for a monster NFC East clash. It's a game people have been eyeing for a while, as Saquon Barkley will be making his return to MetLife Stadium.

Well, plenty of eyebrows have been raised over the health of Dexter Lawrence and Brian Burns. We already knew Andrew Thomas wouldn't be with the team, as he's out for the season following foot surgery, but Burns and Lawrence were unable to practice the past two days.

Lawrence is dealing with a hip issue, while Burns is still fighting through a groin injury. Despite them missing practice, all is good, as both players have adamantly said that they're planning to play on Sunday. On top of that, Malik Nabers was able to fully practice on Thursday, meaning he'll (hopefully) be cleared and be ready to rock as well.

Brian Burns and Dexter Lawrence are expected to play vs. the Eagles

So, yes, Burns and Lawrence missing back-to-back sessions is concerning, but barring a last-minute surprise, they'll both be in uniform to make life difficult for Jalen Hurts. The Giants lead the NFL in sacks, with Lawrence second in the league with his seven QB takedowns.

Burns got off to a bit of a slow start, but he has looked fantastic in the past two weeks. With Kayvon Thibodeaux out due to wrist surgery, Burns needs to lead the pass-rush unit and live up to his $141 million contract. He'll have a great chance to send a statement vs. the Eagles.

Lastly with Nabers, getting him back on the field is going to be massive for the Big Blue offense. The O was sluggish vs. the Bengals, as Nabers was clearly needed to help record some explosive plays. He has missed two weeks, but all signs are pointing to him getting on the field and making a splash for his team once again in Week 8.
