Following two massively disappointing games against the Vikings and Commanders, the NY Giants finally posted their first win of the season thanks to the Cleveland Browns. It wasn't a pretty one, but a win is a win and a few players stood out amongst the rest, showing off a high level of play that helped deliver said victory.

These three players were crucial to the Giants' win, and without them, a 0-3 start to the season is incredibly likely. Their play gives us hope that New York's season may not be finished after all. On the other side of the spectrum, there were a couple of guys whose level of play left much to be desired - plain and simple, they have to be better moving forward:

Winner: QB Daniel Jones

After a win like this, it's hard to narrow down who can be considered a winner, as this could easily be a 10-player list. However, it's hard not to say that Daniel Jones deserves to be in the top three. He wasn't perfect, and his inability to throw the ball deep certainly didn't help. However, this was by far his best game of the season and one that gives us hope moving forward.

Jones completed over 70 percent of his passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns, both of which went to Malik Nabers. He looked sharp as a short and medium-range passer, and made some nice plays on the ground. For the Giants' sake, we hope Jones figures the deep ball out, but for now, he did what he could to bring the team a big-time win.

Winner: WR Malik Nabers

Once again, Naber showed out in the biggest way possible, not only making history, but being the biggest reason for the success of the offense on two out of their three scoring drives. The level of which Nabers has been playing is something we have literally never seen before and as of now, he seems like the clear favorite for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

For the game, Nabers caught eight passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns, making some incredible grabs. Through his first three games, Nabers has done more than any receiver the team has seen since Odell Beckham Jr.

Winner: EDGE Brian Burns

It's been a relatively quiet two weeks for Brian Burns, as he's racked up just three pressures in said time. This has caused some fans to become impatient with Burns despite the fact that he should have had a sack against the Commanders, and has been doing a ton of things that won't show up on the stat sheet. Now, those doubters won't have much fuel in the tank after his performance against the Browns.

In Cleveland, Burns racked up three combined tackles, five pressures, one sack, and a forced fumble. The pass-rush in general was truly elite, racking up eight sacks against a battered Browns offensive line. Burns, however, stood out in a great way and this performance should give him enough confidence to dominate against the Cowboys on Thursday.

Loser: RB Eric Gray

Despite all of his shortcomings at the position last season, the Giants, for some reason, decided to put Eric Gray at returner to open the game, and he immediately fumbled, opening the door for the Browns to score on their first play on offense. This, combined with the fact that he got just one carry compared to Tyrone Tracy's five, makes it seem like Gray could be on his way out of the door sooner rather than later. He can't be trusted for special teams work, period.

Loser: Deonte Banks

Through the first two games, Deonte Banks has looked rather solid despite playing against incredibly tough competition. However, against Amari Cooper, Banks was nothing short of atrocious, and some of his biggest flaws started to be put on full display.

Coming out of college, one of Banks' biggest flaws was that he didn't make plays on the ball often, choosing to focus on his man more often. A fine strategy, but one that certainly has its drawbacks. This week, those drawbacks were seen, as he refused to turn his head against Cooper, and the veteran Pro Bowler made several big-time plays against the second-year corner, including two touchdowns.
