This guy is going to be an absolute monster for the NY Giants defense and there's no doubt about that. From the moment the Giants made the trade to acquire Brian Burns from the Carolina Panthers, people have been dreaming about him going to work with Kayvon Thibodeaux.

Burns is one of the best pass-rushers in the game and he's now ready to make a monster splash in East Rutherford. He already has, with players showing up to the team facility for Day 1 of the voluntary offseason program. Burns is in the house and goodness, the man looks like he means business. This is bad news for Dak Prescott and Jalen Hurts. Sorry fellas!

Brian Burns has Giants fans counting down the days for Week 1 to get here

Rocking a pretty epic Vince Carter t-shirt, Burns has the look of a beast in the trenches on his face. The 6-5, 250-pounder knows that he's arrived in New Jersey with monster expectations for 2024 and beyond. That's always going to be the case when you land a $150 million extension.

Burns has lived up to the hype since he made his way to the league five seasons ago. His rookie campaign, he posted 7.5 sacks. He's followed that up with 38.5 sacks over the past four campaigns, including a career-high 12.5 in 2022. His 246 career tackles are nothing to sneeze at either.

The new Giant announced his NY move in style and now he's surely fired up for the start of the season to get here too. Him showing up for the voluntary program was also a no-brainer, as his contract features a $500,000 bonus for doing so.

We still may be a while away from September getting here, but with the NFL Draft around the corner, Giants Nation is amped up for the fall to sneak up on us. Obviously, Burns is going to be a player to watch from start to finish this season. It may be one simple social media post from the Giants featuring the stud outside 'backer, but come on, it's great to see Burns locked in like this.
