With all the excitement going on at NY Giants training camp, it's easy to forget that wide receiver Stering Shepard is back suiting up for this team. Shepard, who signed a one-year deal with Big Blue this offseason, suffered a torn ACL during Week 3 last fall.
This came after he tore his Achilles in 2021. Fans have been heartbroken for the poor guy, but Shep is ready to put everything behind him. Seeing him back on the practice field has been awesome, with Brian Daboll among those who are happy to have No. 3 running around again.
With Shepard being such a popular figure in the locker room, the G-Men are thrilled to have the veteran wideout in action once again. Coach Dabes made that much clear with his latest comments:
"I think all the guys are appreciative for him and what he does for the team"

NY Giants WR Sterling Shepard has meant so much to this organization
"He provides a lot of energy. You know, he's a very good teammate. Obviously he's bounced back from a few injuries and I think all the guys are appreciative of him and what he does for the team. "Brian Daboll
Shepard has been through some lean years with the G-Men, but there's no question - despite his serious knee injury - that he was thrilled to see NY go 9-7-1 last season. The Giants made the postseason for the first time since 2016, a squad Shepard suited up for.
With him having so much history with the Giants, no fan wanted to see his time in East Rutherford come to an end with the last memory being him carted off the field vs. Dallas. That would have been a terrible way to close out that chapter.
Instead, Shepard has returned for the 2023 campaign and he's ready to help the Giants get back to the playoffs. It won't be easy, but countless people will be rooting for Shepard from start to finish this year.
