After so much negativity surrounding the NY Giants in recent weeks, things really have changed for the better. Not only did general manager Joe Schoen agree to an adjusted franchise tag with Saquon Barkley, but he also inked Andrew Thomas to a massive five-year extension.

This came after Schoen gave head-turning deals to both quarterback Daniel Jones and Dexter Lawrence. Now, key figures for Big Blue are locked in with the team for the long haul, something Danny Dimes absolutely loves.

Over at training camp, Jones was asked about the exciting new contracts and he didn't mince words in discussing his happiness, while also describing what it means to don the organization's colors on a daily basis:

NY Giants QB Daniel Jones could not be happier to be with the team

"We've got a number of players who have been here for a few years and understand what it means to be a New York Giant and what it means to play for Coach Daboll and his system and what he wants the culture and feel of the locker room to be. We've got a great group of leaders - great group of young guys who know what that is, who embody that and take to that every day.""

That sure looks like a guy who has fully bought into the plans brought in by head man Brian Daboll and Schoen. These two have completely changed the culture in East Rutherford, with Jones ready to keep things going on the right foot moving forward.

Jones landed his $160 million extension a few months back, with haters continuing to blast the organization for giving him so much money. However, Jones was working tirelessly this offseason to get better and everyone saw him looking fantastic during Day 1 of camp. More strong play will surely be on the way from him this summer leading up to Week 1.
