After what he's been able to get done with the NY Giants in such a short amount of time, we don't have to tell you that Brian Daboll is loved all over New York and New Jersey. This man will be a king once early September rolls around, especially after his incredible first season at the helm.
With the G-Men going 9-7-1 on the year in 2022, plus taking down the Vikings in the Wild Card Round, Daboll took home NFL Coach of the Year honors. Despite that, Pro Football Network doesn't think he's in the Top 10 for head coaches in the league?
That's indeed the case, as they have Coach Dabes checking in at No. 11 in their newest rankings. With all due respect to PFN - they surely can't be serious here. Daboll at No. 11? No way!
Brian Daboll has been absolutely brilliant for the NY Giants since Day 1
"Brian Daboll won Coach of the Year after leading the Giants to a playoff appearance, shattering expectations for a team that many thought would be in line for another top-10 draft pick. With both of his coordinators back, Daboll must add talent to New York’s roster, but he’s already shown he can get the most out of what he’s given. Daboll’s best trait may be his understanding of the modern NFL game and the importance of the QB run. But hiring is an important part of coaching, and gathering a staff of Mike Kafka and Wink Martindale was an outstanding decision."PFN's Dalton Miller
With another strong campaign coming for the Giants, Daboll is only going to be receiving more praise in the near future. Not only has he turned the Giants into a threat in the NFC, but he has completely changed the culture as a whole in East Rutherford.
Before Daboll and Joe Schoen arrived to town, Big Blue supporters were tired of seeing such terrible play from the G-Men. The belief was at an all-time low for the squad. However, a complete 180 has been performed over the past year or so.
The Giants are coming off their best season since 2016, and they're now focused on being even better in '23. With all the great additions on both sides of the ball, plus Daboll being the head man in charge, the rest of the league will know better than to doubt this squad.
