In recent days, NY Giants starting quarterback Daniel Jones has seen all of the negative talk sent his way. Following Big Blue's 28-6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1, thousands of people have been blasting the former No. 6 overall pick. Not only that, but those same people have been calling for Brian Daboll to never let him start again.

Things got so bad, some haters even burned Jones' jersey, while others waited for him after the game to blast him as he left the stadium. Jones is no stranger to getting ripped. At the same time, he's not letting it have a negative impact on his mindset. Instead, No. 8 is ignoring the outside noise. He said he's focused on just getting better and helping this team try to win:

"Yeah, I mean I feel like I've been doubted plenty for a long time and dealt with that time and time again and done a good job with it. So, I think my mental toughness is in a good spot and I'm not concerned about that. "

Jones thinks his mental toughness is in a good spot, which is of course great news. At the same time, the sixth-year quarterback has to be better moving forward. There were too many throws against the Vikings that he short-armed, while others were just straight-up misses.

In the preseason loss to the Texans and the defeat vs. Minnesota, Jones combined for no touchdowns and four interceptions. That's brutal and something that has to change with the Washington Commanders being next up on the schedule.

Luckily for the G-Men and Daboll, New York has dominated against Washington in recent seasons. They're a young team on both sides of the ball. Jones has a chance to have a huge game and build some confidence for the rest of the campaign.

If he struggles again, however, then his time as the starter could come to an end, with either Drew Lock or Tommy DeVito getting a shot to do their thing. Let's hope things don't come to that.
