Bring on the Cowboys? With the 2023 schedule for the NY Giants and the rest of the NFL set to be released on Thursday night, countless Big Blue supporters are making their best guesses for who Brian Daboll and Co. will be facing to start the 2023 campaign.
Well, word is starting to fly around that the Giants will be hosting the Cowboys in Week 1. Not only that, but there are rumors going around that the G-Men and 'Boys will be facing off for the Sunday Night Football matchup of the opening weekend.
The NY Giants and Dallas Cowboys may open the season on SNF
Not only that, but WFAN's Brandon Tierney is also suggessting that the Giants and Jets will be meeting in late October. Rumors have swirled that the Giants and Jets could meet on Sept. 11 for Monday Night Football, but the latest buzz has the Giants and Cowboys facing off first.
Either of those matchups would be exciting to see. Starting with Dallas, these two teams hate one another. Taking down Dak Prescott and others to start the new year could really set the tone for the rest of the season. A lot of people hope that Tierney is on the money here.
On the other side of things, a Giants vs. Aaron Rodgers clash early on would be a ton of fun too. Jets fans are acting like Rodgers is the savior for the organization, but there's still a lot of improvement needed on both sides of the ball. The Giants beat Rodgers last year in London too, remember?
Regardless of how things go down on Thursday, there's no question that the Giants will have high expectations from start to finish in 2023. If its the Giants or Cowboys come Week 1, Daniel Jones and the other guys in the locker room will be jacked up for things. Get ready, folks, it's almost go time.
