As we get ready for mandatory minicamp to arrive for the NY Giants, the players are enjoying a few days off to clear their heads. For the Big Blue rookie class, this included a trip to the Bronx on Friday night to watch the New York Yankees in action.

With the Boston Red Sox in town, the stadium was packed. Before the first pitch, though, the Giants youngsters got together for a group photo that is simply too cool for school. You already know this was a special moment for these guys as well:

There's high expectations for the NY Giants rookie class in 2023

Unfortunately, the Red Sox were able to post a 3-2 win over the Yankees, but that likely didn't take away from the fun experience the first-year players had at the ballpark. Now, though, these guys will enjoy a little more time off before taking the field for minicamp.

It goes without saying, but there's going to be a lot of pressure on these dudes to play beyond their years this fall. In particular, a lot is expected of cornerback Deonte Banks, center John Michael Schmitz and wideout Jalin Hyatt.

They were the first three picks of the draft for general manager Joe Schoen, with the team trading up in the first round for Banks and the third round for Hyatt. Banks is going to hope to make plenty of noise playing alongside Adoree' Jackson at CB, while Schmitz is taking over as the starting center.

With Hyatt, his speed alone gives him the potential to be a major threat for this offense. All in all, there's boatloads of talent for the '23 class with the organization. NY supporters, including plenty of die-hard Yankees fans, can't wait to see what these kids are able to get done beginning with the Week 1 showdown vs. Dallas.
