With the NY Giants bringing in so many more weapons for the offense, it's easy to forget about some of the standouts who were strong late in the 2022 season. At the top of our list has to be wideoutIsaiah Hodgins, who was one of the biggest surprises for this squad.

Seriously, Hogins went from no-name NFL wideout to a guy who was downright electric in the NFC Wild Card Round upset over the Minnesota Vikings. Hodgins could be in line for a big 2023 as well, which is something Bleacher Report is eyeing.

In a new piece, Bleacher Report named Hodgins as Big Blue's 'best kept secret' heading into the new campaign. We completely agree with them, as the young wide receiver deserves way more respect.

NY Giants wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins was a great story in 2022

"One underrated element of the passing game was Isaiah Hodgins, who was third on the team in yards with 351 on 33 receptions in just eight games. Hodgins was released by the Bills on November 1 with the Giants successfully claiming him off waivers the next day. It took a few weeks for Hodgins to get acclimated, but by the end of the season he had some strong performances including eight catches for 89 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets against the Vikings in Week 14."

Shortly after the Bills decided to move on from Hodgins, Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen reunited with the young WR, picking him up on waivers. No one expected Hodgins to perform the way he did, but he certainly took advantage of his opportunities.

On the year, Hodgins posted 33 receptions for 351 yards and four touchdowns. In the Wild Card Round win over the Vikings in Minnesota, Hodgins had his best game of the year, catching eight balls for 105 yards and a touchdown.

A lot of the attention for the NY offense has gone to the additions of Darren Waller, Jalin Hyatt and Parris Campbell. Hey, we're excited to see all three of those guys in action once Week 1 rolls around. However, people should be pumped about what Hodgins will be able to do this fall and winter. He may have previously been a little-known player, but that will surely change moving forward.
