Giants WR Malik Nabers gives best possible update after TNF injury scare
The end of Thursday Night Football could not have gone much worse for the NY Giants. The team suffered a 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but on a key 4th down, star wideout Malik Nabers not only dropped a catchable ball from Daniel Jones, but he slammed his head against the turf in rough fashion.
Nabers was down on the ground for quite some time and then he was helped back to the locker room with the help of trainers. He was then diagnosed with a concussion and quickly ruled out for the rest of the game. Luckily, though, Nabers took to Instagram to let fans know he's doing just fine. It's too early to know for sure, but it's looking like he should be ready to rock for Week 5.
Malik Nabers is doing just fine after suffering a concussion in Week 4
Before he suffered his injury, Nabers was once again looking electric for the G-Men and Jones. He finished the night with 12 receptions for 115 yards. He's the go-to option for Danny Dimes and he was causing problems for the Dallas secondary throughout the primetime action.
Unfortunately for Nabers, however, all his hard work came in a loss and his night ended in a brutal way. He wasn't able to speak to the media because he was in the concussion protocol, but the scene in the locker room showcased that he was pretty disappointed in himself for not coming down with that 4th-down pass from Jones late in the action.
The Giants have 10 days off before they get back on the field to take on the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 6. It's going to be a tough environment at Lumen Field and NY will have to be at its best in order to post a second road upset in three weeks. Obviously, they'll need Nabers healthy and flying all over the field to potentially get that job done.
