Grading every pick the NY Giants made in the 2024 NFL Draft
In the blink of an eye, the 2024 NFL Draft has come and gone. While everyone knew Caleb Williams would be the No. 1 overall pick, there were definitely some surprises over the three-day event. For the NY Giants and Joe Schoen, he made a lot of fans quite happy with his picks.
The party got started with Schoen bringing in LSU wideout Malik Nabers at No. 6 overall. There was buzz he'd trade up for Drake Maye, but Schoen and Co. decided to not overpay. Having said that, we're taking a look at each NY selection in this piece. It goes without saying, but Schoen nailed it in Round 1.
NY Giants first-round pick Malik Mabers draft grade: A
To start us off, people are still buzzing over the Giants landing Nabers in the first round. The excitement only grew when Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported that the Vikings shockingly tried to trade up to land the LSU speedster. That would have been a total stunner, but luckily Nabers is East Rutherford-bound.
The Giants have been begging for a WR1 since 2018, the last year a wideout posted 1,000 yards - Odell Beckham Jr. Now, Daniel Jones finally has a stud playmaker he can throw the ball to. With a revamped offensive line as well, the hope is that the Giants are putting Danny Dimes in the right situation to bounce back in '24.
Nabers isn't going to improve this offense all on his own, but goodness, he's sure going to help things out. He's coming off a monster year for the LSU Tigers and the hope is he can put on a show from start to finish in 2024. We absolutely loved this pick.
