There was plenty of panic among the NY Giants fanbase when star wide receiver Malik Nabers went down with an injury during practice not long ago. Thankfully, though, the tests came back clean on the No. 6 overall pick and it was only a minor ankle injury.

Nabers is being looked at as the savior for the offense, as he's the first No. 1 WR Daniel Jones has had to play with in his career. Jones and Nabers have looked good together this summer, but people want to see what they can do in game action. Luckily, we should all get our first look in preseason Week 2.

NY Giants WR Malik Nabers is expected to start vs. Houston

While there was some concern that Nabers might be out for a little while, that's not the case. Not only is he expected to play vs. Houston, but he also left no doubt that he'll be ready to rock for the season-opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

Nabers' preseason debut didn't go to plan, as he didn't haul in a reception. Matter of fact, he didn't post a single target from Drew Lock in his 12 offensive snaps. Against the Texans, countless people are hoping that Danny Dimes will be looking his way early and often.

It's important for the two to keep building chemistry. It's one thing to look sharp with one another on the practice field in East Rutherford, but we need to see it translate against opposing defenses as well. Against Houston, the two will have the chance to put on a show. We'll see if it happens or not.
