One of the top wide receiver targets for the NY Giants has to be Ohio State speedster Jaxon Smith-Njigba. After putting on a show at the NFL Combine, Smith-Njigba only solidified himself as one of the premier players in the draft class.

The Giants have high interest in him, and the feelings are mutual. At his Pro Day, Smith Njigba said playing for New York would be like a dream come true. A lot of Big Blue supporters want to see his dream come true, but it's not going to be easy for Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll.

Plenty of NFL Mock Drafts have Smith-Njigba going in the Top 15. With the Giants holding the No. 25 pick, Smith-Njigba will likely be off the board. So, if Schoen does want him, he'll surely have to trade up.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba would be a huge get for the Giants in the NFL Draft

With his speed and incredible route running, Smith-Njigba would be a fantastic weapon for quarterback Daniel Jones. He could be the WR1 that this team has been looking for - one that the team needs.

However, there's just no way he's going to fall all the way to the late first round. Schoen has left the door open for a potential trade up in the first round, but there's also a chance the Giants move back. In their latest mock, CBS has NY trading back to the No. 31 pick, with the Chiefs moving up to No. 25. KC would also send the Giants a third-round pick.

With the draft less than a month away, it's up in the air what Schoen will do. Plenty of people are calling for a wideout, but this team could still go after a cornerback or interior offensive lineman. Smith-Njigba is our favorite WR for this class. We love the idea of him making plays for Jones. If Schoen wants that to happen, he'll 100 percent have to trade up.
