Soon enough, we'll all find out what the NY Giants decide to do with star running back Saquon Barkley. No. 26 played the 2023 campaign on the non-exclusive franchise tag after he and Joe Schoen weren't able to finalize a long-term extension last year.

This offseason, Barkley wants the G-Men to make a quick decision. If they're going to franchise tag him again, don't wait until the last minute to do so. If they don't see a future with him with the team, just let him walk and find a new home. If that ends up being the case, countless teams will be after the two-time Pro Bowler. However, PFF has mentioned the Eagles as a potential landing spot and we'd hate to see that:

Saquon Barkley signing with the Eagles this offseason would be terrible for the Giants

With Barkley and the Giants potentially going their separate ways in the coming months, come on, the idea of him making plays with Jalen Hurts in Philly is enough to keep you up at night. The Bears and Texans make sense too, as they have young QBs they'd want to pair Barkley with.

A lot will really come down to whether or not the Bears decide to trade the No. 1 overall pick or not. If they decide they want to keep going with Justin Fields as their QB1 of the future, then adding a player of Barkley's caliber would be a home-run decision from the front office.

Houston is on the rise with CJ Stroud, but the Eagles feel like a sinking ship of late. Nick Sirianni shockingly fired offensive coordinator Brian Johnson, which has left plenty of people inside of the locker room quite upset. Sirianni needs to make a statement in 2024 or his job could be on the line, especially after the Wild Card Round loss to Tampa Bay. Enter Barkley?

Again, no one in East Rutherford would want to see that happen. If anything, people are still holding out hope that Schoen and Barkley will be able to meet in the middle on a multi-year deal. If that doesn't go down, then we can only hope Barkley doesn't stay in the division and he puts the pen to paper with an organization far away from the NFC East.
