The hype is real when it comes to NY Giants tight end Darren Waller. After the Giants landed the former Pro Bowl tight end from the Las Vegas Raiders for a third-round pick, fans have been dreaming of what the veteran playmaker will be able to do in this offense.

Daniel Jones is surely excited to see what his new target can get done for him as well. Experts and analysts across the country have high expectations for Waller moving forward. The list includes NFL insider Brian Baldinger, who has loved what he's seen out of the TE this offseason.

At minicamp earlier this week, Waller continued to show his abilities. For Baldinger, he has no doubt in his mind that Waller will be a 'go to guy' for the G-Men this season. Hey, we love seeing this:

Darren Waller will be a beast for the NY Giants this season

Baldinger is a firm believer in Waller, as it's clear he's going to change things up for the NY offense as a whole. Waller is one of the many pass-catchers brought in by general manager Joe Schoen this offseason. Others to keep an eye on of course include Parris Campbell, Jalin Hyatt and more.

With Waller, although the Giants don't have a true WR1 on this team, he can step in and make similar kinds of plays for offensive coordinator Mike Kafka. Waller is a big-bodied target, one that Danny Dimes will be looking to connect with throughout the campaign.

It's hard to believe how fast the offseason is flying, as training camp will be here next month and the regular season is also around the corner. Waller is going to make a big-time impact from the start, as fans everywhere will be ready to see him put on a show against the Cowboys in primetime.
