One of the best stories from the 2022 campaign for the NY Giants had to be the surprise play of wideout Isaiah Hodgins. After being released by the Bills, the Giants quickly claimed Hodgins off waivers. He arrived to East Rutherford with low expectations.

He blew said expectations out of the water, becoming a top target for quarterback Daniel Jones. Hodgins saved his best game for the NFC Wild Card Round win over the Vikings, catching eight balls for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Would you believe it if you were told Hodgins played that game with a slight fracture in his foot? Well, believe it, as Hodgins somehow was able to play in that postseason contest despite the injury. Unreal:

Most of us wouldn't even be able to walk to the end of the driveway with our foot looking like that. For Hodgins, he wasn't going to let anything prevent him from helping his team post an upset victory over the Vikings, in Minnesota mind you.

Hodgins is back with the G-Men for the 2023 campaign and he's most certainly hoping to post a big year to try and land a new contract next offseason. A former sixth-round pick, Hodgins has a chance to really be a focal point for the passing game.

Fans are thrilled about the additions of Darren Waller and Parris Campbell, but guys like Hodgins and Darius Slayton will still need to ball out for this team to look sharp. With Jones landing his massive extension this offseason, he's going to have a ton of pressure on his shoulders too.

Luckily for Jones, he's got plenty of weapons now at his disposal. This includes Hodgins, who is slowly but surely becoming a fan favorite. It's quite easy to root for this kid, as he's got a great mindset to go along with his strong talent.
