Thankfully, everyone has for the most part forgotten about the Saquon Barkley contract drama that was a major storyline in recent months for the NY Giants. Now, the focus is on the two-time Pro Bowler putting on a show in 2023 to remind people that he's one of the best running backs in the game.

Standout safety Xavier McKinney is confident that Barkley will be electric for the G-Men this fall and winter. While speaking to the media earlier in the week, McKinney was all smiles while discussing No. 26. Matter of fact, McKinney didn't hesitate in saying that Saquon is one of a kind:

Xavier McKinney is a huge fan of Saquon Barkley's game

That's a lot of respect right there. It's hard to argue with McKinney, as Barkley was simply fantastic for the Giants offense last year. After all the adversity with injuries that he's had to overcome, Barkley put that in the rear-view mirror and rushed for a career-high 1,312 yards and 10 touchdowns.

His two scores in the Wild Card Round upset win over the Vikings were a thing of beauty too. Now that Barkley is on his adjusted franchise tag, with more than $900,000 available to him in incentives, he's going to want to live up to the hype in '23.

This is a new-look offense as a whole for the Giants, with Darren Waller, Jalin Hyatt and Parris Campbell hoping to ball out. In the trenches, center John Michael Schmitz is creating a lot of buzz too, especially after his fantastic showing vs. the Lions.

All of those guys will only help Barkley play at a high level in '23. There are still some doubters who somehow think that Barkley is overrated, but McKinney isn't on that list. He's got all the trust in the world that another monster campaign is on the way for his buddy.
