Saquon Barkley delivers quote that will give Giants fans hope for the rest of 2023
You think the NY Giants are ready to roll over and forget about the goal to get back to the postseason? Nope. Don't tell Saquon Barkley that the G-Men need a miracle to get back to the playoffs, as he could care less about the 4-8 record.
Instead, Saquon is focused on the final five games of the season to see what this team can do. It all starts on Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers. With an upset win over the NFC North side, New York will have a lot of momentum in trying to do the unthinkable. Barkley believes he and his teammates have what it takes to get the job done:
Saquon Barkley is focused on getting the NY Giants back to the playoffs
Hey, you've got to love the passion that Barkley is speaking with in that clip above. No one is giving the Giants a shot to win out the rest of the way and sneak into the playoffs, but NY players aren't listening to any of the outside noise.
The Giants have a big mountain to climb to earn a Wild Card spot, but again, you never know what might happen over the next five weeks. In order for the Giants to post some head-turning victories, they'll surely need No. 26 to be at his best.
Barkley has missed a large chunk of the season due to a high-ankle sprain, but now that he's back to full health, he's been a stud playmaker for Brian Daboll and Co. Barkley had a bit of a quiet day in the Week 12 win over the Patriots, but he was downright sensational in the W over the Commanders.
With Tommy DeVito set to post his fourth-career start in Week 14, he's going to need Barkley at his best to help him out. Something tells us Barkley will be there to answer the call against the Packers, plus the rest of the campaign as well.
