4 takeaways from Saquon Barkley, Tommy DeVito and Giants D stunning Washington
That's how you take down an NFC East rival! NY Giants fans have been begging for some good news to come in on this team - they haven't had reasons to smile this season. Entering Sunday, the Giants were 2-8 on the year. Now, they're 3-8, baby.
Despite being big-time underdogs, the G-Men were able to make more than enough plays on both sides of the ball to post an impressive 31-19 victory. This team showed a lot of GUTS on Sunday and Brian Daboll is finally able to celebrate. Here are our four takeaways from the action:
4. Saquon Barkley proved why he's one of the best running backs in the game
Have a day, Saquon Barkley. We're of course going to give Tommy DeVito plenty of love for his showing in this one, but Barkley indeed reminded everyone of why he's one of the best running backs in the NFL. Barkley's day started with one of the best touchdown catches you'll see this campaign. DeVito tossed it only where his RB could come down with the ball, and he did just that.
That's an incredible play from Barkley. He had himself one hell of an afternoon, rushing the ball for 83 yards, while adding four receptions for 57 yards and two touchdowns in the thrilling Giants victory. Barkley has been battling an ankle injury this season, but it didn't slow him down one bit vs. Washington. Props to him for a massive showing.
