Which college has the most first round picks in NFL Draft history?
There's always going to be plenty of college pride showcased from start to finish each year at the NFL Draft. For a lot of fans out there, there's nothing better than seeing a superstar from your alma mater hear his name called during the first night of the NFL Draft festivities.
This year will be no different, as Kansas City is going to be rocking on Thursday night for Round 1. With that said, which team has the most first-round picks in history? If you thought it was an SEC program, you're wrong in this case.
Ohio State holds the title for most first-round picks at the NFL Draft
Coming in at No. 1 are the Ohio State Buckeyes, who have seen 87 of their products go in the first round. In second place is Southern California with 84, followed by Alabama (75), Notre Dame (70) and Miami (67).
The fact that Ohio State, USC and Alabama are the top three isn't a surprise at all. For the Buckeyes, they're surely going to see their number of 87 grow this week. Quarterback C.J. Stroud, wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba and offensive lineman Paris Johnson Jr. are expected to be first-round picks.
Stroud was in the No. 1 conversation for a while, but he could end up with the Texans or Colts. As for Smith-Njigba, a lot of experts believe he's the only true WR1 playmaker for this draft class. Campbell is a beast of a lineman as well. It must be nice to have so many stars on your team. Enjoy the first round, OSU fans.
