As the NFL offseason rolls on, one thing remains clear for the New York Giants: they need a quarterback. While they’ve been aggressive in making moves on both sides of the ball—most notably signing star safety Jevon Holland and bringing back fan-favorite wide receiver Darius Slayton—finding a signal-caller remains their top priority.

Even though the Giants hold the No. 3 pick in the NFL Draft, they’ve shown strong interest in adding both Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson, hoping that either Super Bowl-winning quarterback can elevate their offense. With New York reportedly set to meet with Wilson on Friday, landing the veteran signal-caller may not be as simple as it once seemed.

Another team is showing a strong interest in adding Wilson

With Wilson already drawing interest from the Giants, Cleveland Browns, and the Pittsburgh Steelers—whom he led to the playoffs last season—you can now add another AFC team to the mix. SNY's Connor Hughes reports that the Tennessee Titans have shown interest in signing the 36-year-old quarterback.

The Titans hold the No. 1 pick in the draft but have made it known they’re open to trading the selection or possibly using it on two-way star Travis Hunter or another defensive standout. If Tennessee seriously pursues Wilson, it could create a major hurdle in the Giants' efforts to land him.

Wilson’s meeting with the Cleveland Browns further complicates things. Cleveland is actively searching for a veteran quarterback and reportedly pulled out all the stops for Wilson’s visit. The Browns had both Deshaun Watson and Myles Garrett in the room, making a full-court press to sell Wilson on the idea of joining a playoff-caliber roster. Some selling points. But Wilson left Cleveland without a deal.

It’s clear the Browns are serious about adding him, meaning the Giants need to act fast if they want to secure their guy.

Despite Wilson’s best days seemingly behind him, he still put up solid numbers last year with the Steelers. In 11 games, he threw for over 2,400 yards with 16 touchdowns to just five interceptions and earned a Pro Bowl nod. However, Wilson and the Steelers ended the season on a four-game losing streak, culminating in a first-round exit in the AFC Wild Card round against the Baltimore Ravens.

Still, Wilson’s 13-year NFL career speaks for itself, and the Giants would love to have him under center. But with the Titans now in the mix, landing Wilson is far from a sure thing for Big Blue.
