Todd Monken hasn't even been the head coach of the Cleveland Browns for 24 hours yet, and he's already spurned the New York Giants multiple times. He was expected to join the Giants as John Harbaugh's OC, but the Browns swooped in at the 11th hour and crushed many fans' dreams.

With Monken now in Cleveland, he's also looking at ex-Ravens assistants to join his coaching staff, and the Browns just stole two potential Big Blue assistants for the price of one. It was reported that Baltimore OL coach George Warhop will be following him to Cleveland to serve in the same role.

To make matters even worse, Carmen Bricillo is following Brian Daboll to Tennessee, so the Giants are truly at square one in their search for a new OL coach. And the 59-year-old is planning to take a look at even more assistants from Baltimore to join his staff, which is a massive concern for the G-Men.

Warhop was never going to be the answer to this team's hopes and dreams, but at least there was a plan in place when he was available. Many fans are excited that the Browns took him off the market, since he's inheriting a far less talented OL than he had and the one he could have been coaching.

The 64-year-old OL coach has coached the Ravens' offensive line in each of the last two seasons, but their production has taken a step back since he took over. According to Pro Football Focus, the Ravens' offensive line ranked fifth in 2023 and has declined since, which is a common trend.

The Texans, Jaguars, Bucs, and Browns' offensive lines all improved the season after he left, and Warhop has only coached two top 10 units since 2010, and one of those came in 2012. Many of his recent seasons have been average or below average, with him having coached several weak OLs.

The Ravens' offensive line dropped down from that fifth-place ranking in 2023 to ninth in 2024 and 16th in 2025. I'm no expert, but if the offensive line was better before he came in and has gotten progressively worse since, it means that he hasn't done a bang-up job working with the trenches.

While this news is a blessing in disguise, Monken could very well set out to steal more coaches Harbaugh wants to bring to New York, which is alarming. Luckily, there is more demand to coach with the Super Bowl champion, the Giants, than deal with the clown show that is the Cleveland Browns.
