Wan’Dale Robinson’s blunt postgame quote perfectly captures Giants rock bottom

We hate it too.

After surrendering another 30-plus points on defense, resulting in yet another loss, it’s clear the New York Giants’ 2025 season has officially entered off-the-rails territory. Their 34-24 Week 9 loss puts them at 2-7 on the season, with the playoffs all but in the rearview. It’s another lost season for a fanbase and team that deserves better.

It’s infuriating for the fans, who were back to their aviation tricks — flying a “Mr. Mara, enough is enough. Clean house” banner over MetLife Stadium before kickoff. After yet another atrocious performance, that message somehow feels even more true than it did when the banner first took flight.

Big Blue Nation isn't the only party frustrated — the players are too. This is where things can get dicey. Speaking to the media after the game, fourth-year receiver Wan’Dale Robinson made it clear he’s tired of the losing. It took just four words to sum up what every Giants fan is feeling:

"I hate this S**t."

Frustrated Wan’Dale Robinson channels Giants fans in blunt postgame reaction

Robby, we’re with you. We hate it, too. And it’s becoming harder and harder to justify keeping the band together as they continue to play horrendous sets.

Could this be the comment that becomes the catalyst for change? At what point does losing the fans, the games, and the locker room lead to change? To move the needle?

The whole thing is frustrating. However, the most maddening part of it all is that it’s the same problems that have plagued this team for years that keep popping up. The run defense has been suspect even before unfit defensive coordinator Shane Bowen took over. They’ve done nothing about it. Special teams play has been a constant thorn in their side. Nothing.

As the frustration mounts, the lack of effort will inevitably mount, resulting in more losses. It’s an awful cycle, but one that the fans can see from miles away because it’s been going on for a while now under this regime.

It’s unlikely one pointed postgame quote from Robinson will result in anything substantial, but if the organization were smart, they’d listen. This is a team that lacks any sort of top-end talent on offense, with Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo out for the year, making Robinson’s 2025 breakout all the more important. It might be best not to upset the only thing moving the ball down the field right now.

Maybe it’s time the front office starts hating this too.
