Aiming for 3-0

More from NY Giants News

The New York Giants will travel to Lucas Oil Stadium tonight for a skirmish with the up-and-coming, Andrew Luck led Colts. Off to a 2-0 preseason start, the Giants defense has been flying around the football. The uptempo West Coast offense, on the other hand, has not taken its “leap of faith” just yet. Typically in game #3 we’d be expecting some questions answered, but Big Blue has a regular season meeting with Indy in week 9 to consider. In all likelihood, this means the dress rehearsal will have to wait until the intrastate rivalry on Friday night August 22nd.

Players to Watch:

Giants — CB, Jayron Hosley | The third-year corner’s roster spot is in desperate straits. Hosley panics with the ball in-flight and has been a penalty magnet. Not to mention the substance abuse suspension hovering over his resume.

Colts — WR, Hakeem Nicks | Nicks will get an opportunity to show up his former organization, but he’s struggled mightily to separate himself in a new setting. He’s currently the Colts #3 wide receiver with rookie Donte Moncrief on his tail.

Injuries:

1. Odell Beckham Jr. to sit against Colts
2. Will Beatty & Trumaine McBride to make their returns
