A prominent member of New York Giants was honored at the NFL Honors as Odell Beckham Jr was named the offensive player of the year. Beckham had an incredible season, the award was most certainly bestowed upon the best candidate.
Beckham caught an astonishing 91 receptions. With those 91 grabs he had 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns. These are numbers that a veteran would be happy putting up in a whole season; Beckham did this in only 12 games.

The play of the year was probably his one-handed grab against the Dallas Cowboys. You know exactly what I’m talking about, he dropped jaws all across the country. The epic play on Sunday Night Football is still getting him the star treatment.
There were some great rookies this year, but none of them shined like Beckham. In seven games this season he had over 100 yards.
His best performance was in the season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles. He had 185 yards and a touchdown on 12 receptions. He had a game against the Washington Redskins where he caught 3 touchdown receptions.
The point is that he is insanely talented. Beckham had such an incredible rookie season that he became a household name, a sensation. The rookie of the year award could not have gone to a more deserving player.
Surely, Blake Bortles showed promise with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mike Evans put on a show with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as did Sammy Watkins with the Buffalo Bills.
No player accomplished what Beckham did. No offensive rookie became a sensation close to Beckham’s magnitude.
