3. Matt Cassell Could Stabilize The Offense

Matt Cassell isn’t a great quarterback by any stretch of the imagination but he is capable. He is a player that can manage the game and not make the critical mistakes that hurt his team. The Cowboys have had two weeks to prepare for this quarterback change and they are hoping that Cassell brings stability to the offense.

If Cassell can get the job done he can hurt a really bad secondary for the Giants. Without Prince Amukamara one of the league’s worst defensive backfields is even more susceptible. The Brandon Weeden experiment was awful and doomed to fail. Weeden is one of the worst quarterbacks I have ever seen in the NFL. Cassell isn’t exactly one of the best I have seen but he gives the Cowboys more leadership than Weeden. The Cowboys have a lot of talent on their offense and it can look really good with just decent quarterback play.

The Cowboys probably don’t have enough to beat the Giants on paper without Romo. That being said the Giants gave us little to be positive about last week. The Cowboys have some players that could exploit the Giants weaknesses. I’m just saying that this game could be tougher than advertised.
