Organized team activities are officially underway, and the New York Giants are gearing up for year one of the John Harbaugh era with a much-improved roster and coaching staff.
With every offseason comes new players, new coaches, and new play styles. The G-Men are going to play a brand of football under Harbaugh that Big Blue fans haven’t seen in a long time, and it all starts with quarterback Jaxson Dart.
If you’re not sold on the Dart hype yet, the second-year quarterback offered another reason to believe in him with his latest quote after Thursday’s practice.
Jaxson Dart's latest comment at OTAs should have fans fired up for 2026
Dart told the media that he feels he's "the most mobile" he's ever been in his football career, which has to be music to the Giants’ fans and Harbaugh's ears:

Dart prides himself on being a dual-threat quarterback, meaning his game is not centered on just one thing. He can get it done with both his arms and his legs. Last year, Dart threw for 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushed for 487 yards and nine touchdowns.
Dart should excel in Harbaugh’s offense, as he has thrived with Lamar Jackson under center in Baltimore, and he is, of course, known as a very mobile quarterback as well, which earned MVP honors in both 2019 and 2023. If Dart is trying to adopt a similar playstyle to Lamar’s with Harbaugh, then G-Men fans will love watching him in 2026.
With there being uncertainty around Malik Nabers’ health after he received a second surgery on his knee after suffering a season-ending ACL injury last season, Harbaugh has since come out and said it was “not a simple knee” injury, which is what led to him having a second surgery and having Big Blue fans worried about his status.
If Nabers is not ready to go by the start of the season, Harbaugh may try to implement a more run-first offense with Dart and Cam Skattebo, similar to what he did with the Ravens with Lamar and Derrick Henry.
At the Giants’ Town Hall, Dart promised fans he would prioritize staying healthy and be cautious when sliding on runs. This approach addresses last season’s concerns when he suffered several concussions.
As long as he follows through, Big Blue fans should be eager to watch him showcase his mobility and use his legs more this season.
