New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen knocked it out of the park in his most recent draft. Every player from Malik Nabers to Darius Muasau has contributed multiple times. Nabers could be a 1,000-yard receiver. Tyrone Tracy could be a 1,000-yard rusher. Regardless of the record, fans have to be happy with the results shown thus far from the 2024 class.

Still, the next draft will be the most telling for this regime. Will the Giants attempt to draft their next franchise quarterback? Or will they continue to stack talent on multiple levels and look to sign a veteran QB for the short future? Let's see what New York does with this latest three-round mock draft.

NY Giants 2025 three-round mock draft

The Giants have some promising young talents who should excite both fans and coaches. However, as we've seen with other teams, it always starts with the QB.

They need to end the Daniel Jones era, and with the selection of Miami QB Cam Ward, they would do just that. The Heisman candidate has good size and the ability to extend plays with his feet, and if need be, he can take off and run himself. However, he prefers to beat you with his rocket of an arm. He takes good care of the ball, throws with timing and precision, and is a leader. Most importantly, he can throw players open with anticipatory passes.

New York needs to move on from Jones. Six years is enough. Whether Ward starts from Day 1 or the Giants land a veteran option like Ryan Tannehill in free agency, the Miami senior needs to be the team's QB of the future. His only weakness is he holds onto the ball a little too long, trying to go for the home run every play. If head coach Brian Daboll teaches him when to move on and live to play another down, then Ward can be great at the next level.

The Giants have a lot of holes to fix on the defensive side of the ball. They added a starting safety in Tyler Nubin, a slot corner in Dru Phillips, and a depth linebacker in Muasau this past draft. Now, they need to attack the defensive line.

While the defense has had its moments this season, it's been one of the league's worst units against the run. When Dexter Lawrence comes off the field, the defensive line gets dominated. The Giants have found some young rotational pieces to develop in Jordon Phillips, Elijah Chatman, and Casey Phillips, but they need someone to eat up double-teams and free up Lawrence, Brian Burns, and Kayvon Thibodeaux.

After getting their QB of the future in the first round of this mock draft, the Giants come back at the top of the second and select Kenneth Grant. The Michigan Wolverines' big man in the middle is a mountain standing at 6-foot-3, 339 pounds. Grant is a force in the interior and can continue to assert his dominance at the next level. He is a space-eater and is a natural at taking on double-teams. Grant would be great next to Lawrence and would go a long way in taking the defense to the next level.

Now, the Giants need to turn their focus to the secondary. They have some good pieces in Deonte Banks, Cor'Dale Flott, Nubin, and Phillips, but they must continue to invest more resources. With their third-round pick, they should draft Jabbar Muhammad, cornerback for the Oregon Ducks who transferred from Washington.

He may not last until the third round, but the Giants would love to have him if he's still available. While he may not be the biggest (5-foot-10, 185 pounds), he plays tough, has great ball skills, and is good against the run. He is a good tackler in space, logging over 40 tackles the last two years, and is on his way to another 40-plus-tackle season this year.

Muhammad could step in and be the Giants' CB2 alongside Banks on Day 1. The Giants must continue to add to the secondary this upcoming offseason, and the senior could be a great addition.
