The New York Giants coaching staff has quickly begun to take shape.

Since the franchise-altering hiring of John Harbaugh, New York has hired Matt Nagy as its offensive coordinator, Dennard Wilson as the defensive coordinator, Charlie Bullen as the outside linebackers coach, and most recently, Greg Roman as a special offensive assistant.

Those, in large part, have been some solid names Harbaugh has tapped to help turn this franchise back into a winner. But of course, all eyes will be on the quarterback with the hopes that Jaxson Dart can build off his impressive rookie season with an even better sophomore campaign. And it looks like Harbs is looking to fill the open quarterbacks coach role soon.

On Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported the Giants are interviewing former Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan for their QB coaching job.

Callahan lasted nearly a year and a half in Tennessee after he was fired midseason last year, posting a dismal 4-19 record. While his head coaching stint was a disaster, Callahan has still been around the NFL for a long time, working with many talented quarterbacks.

Before arriving in Tennessee, the 41-year-old offensive guru was the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals for five years (2019-2023). Callahan coached and worked with Joe Burrow, and despite missing the postseason during his rookie year in 2020, Burrow and the Bengals went on an improbable run to the Super Bowl the following year, where they fell short to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI.

The Bengals also made a second straight deep playoff run the following season, falling short in the AFC Title game to the Kansas City Chiefs. Before his time in Cincinnati, Callahan was the quarterbacks coach for the Denver Broncos from 2010 to 2015, working with Peyton Manning during four seasons (2012-2015), helping the Broncos win Super Bowl LI. The journeyman coach had the same role with the Detroit Lions in 2016, working with Matthew Stafford, and in 2018 with the then-Oakland Raiders, coaching Derek Carr.

And of course, most recently, coaching and helping develop last year's No. 1 overall pick, Cam Ward, even though Callahan was fired six games into the 2025 season. Brian Callahan has worked with many notable and talented quarterbacks, and if he winds up getting the quarterbacks coach job in New York, this could be a great hiring for Jaxson Dart's development when it's all said and done.
