The New York Giants have made abundant changes to their roster this offseason as they try to recover from a three-win campaign in 2024. Navigating through the NFC East will be no easy task with the Eagles and Commanders both in the mix, but the Cowboys are already digging their own grave.
This offseason has been marked by an ongoing saga between superstar edge rusher Micah Parsons and owner Jerry Jones, who continues to trip over his own feet in every conceivable way. While Dallas has always ultimately found a way to pay their players, this dispute has felt a bit different.
Things came to a head on Friday morning when The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported that the relationship between the two sides had fractured, nearly beyond repair. Parsons put the final nail in the coffin by posting his goodbye to Dallas on social media later in the afternoon.
Jermaine Eluemunor echoes Giants fans with joke cracked at Micah Parsons' expense
Giants fans cannot help but rejoice, as Parsons is both an enemy of the franchise but also one of the league's best players. The four-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro has 4.5 sacks and six tackles for loss in just eight career games against the Big Blue.
Starting right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor joined in on the fun by saying what all Giants fans were thinking. He responded to Parsons' stern message for the Cowboys with a sarcastic comment about how he hopes he gets paid, but by an AFC team.

Getting Parsons out of the NFC East would be a major benefit to the Giants, but having him out of the NFC altogether would be a dream scenario. Eluemunor understands this better than anyone, as he has lined up against Parsons multiple times throughout his career.

Parsons' fate is still largely undecided, but if Jones decides to move the 26-year-old star, there's little chance that he would choose to deal him within the NFC.
It is still somewhat likely that, somehow, Parsons ends up back with the Cowboys on a record-breaking deal and the two sides act like nothing ever happened.
But Eluemunor's comment was emblematic of how all Giants fans would feel if Dallas did choose to trade Parsons away. Fortunately, if anyone is dumb or power-hungry enough to make a move like this, it would be Jerry Jones.
