The New York Giants head into their Week 11 bye with a season that’s been nothing short of disappointing. Sitting at 2-8 after a tough loss to the Panthers in Germany, they’re struggling on both sides of the ball.

Daniel Jones and the offense can’t find any rhythm, and the defense hasn’t been able to make key stops when it matters.

The loss to Carolina highlighted the team’s season-long issues: missed chances, stalled drives, and a lack of execution in critical moments. With a likely top draft pick on the horizon, the focus now shifts to evaluating the roster and planning for what’s next.

Game-by-game predictions for the NY Giants 2024 schedule after the bye

Week 12 vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Nov. 24

Mike Evans’ health is a big concern here, and without Chris Godwin, the offense lacks its usual explosiveness. Still, Baker Mayfield can spread the ball around, and Todd Bowles’ defense will be ready. Expect the Giants to struggle offensively in what’s likely to be a low-scoring game.

Prediction: Giants 20, Bucs 24

Week 13 NY Giants at Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 28

How about a Thanksgiving Day upset for the G-Men? What will the Cowboys even be playing for? They’re out of playoff contention, Mike McCarthy’s a lame-duck coach, Jerry Jones is losing the locker room, and their starting quarterback is done for the season. Give me Big Blue to pull off the holiday shocker.

Prediction: Giants 24, Cowboys 13

Week 14 NY Giants vs. New Orleans Saints on Dec. 8

The Saints started the season red-hot, racking up 91 points across their first two games. Since then, though, it’s been rough - they dropped seven straight before pulling off a 20-17 upset over the Falcons last week. Surprisingly, the Giants look like the stronger team here. With Chris Olave on IR, the Giants’ defense should be in control, and a defensive touchdown feels likely in this matchup.

Prediction: Giants 31, Saints 14

Week 15 NY Giants vs. Baltimore Ravens on Dec. 15

Daniel Jones could have a chance to put up his best passing numbers against the Ravens’ struggling pass defense, ranked worst in the league. But this game will be all about Baltimore proving themselves. Lamar Jackson is making a strong case for his third MVP, and the Ravens’ offense is bound to take control - it’s only a matter of time. Tyrone Tracy Jr. won’t find much room to run against this defense, and by then, Jones might not even be starting anymore.

Prediction: Giants 17, Ravens 38

Week 16 NY Giants at Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 22

The Falcons have many of the same issues as the Buccaneers. Kirk Cousins leads an explosive offense, so the Giants will need to focus on limiting big plays. While Atlanta’s defense isn’t particularly strong, the question is how motivated the Giants will be as they slog through another lost season. Expect Cousins to have a big day against New York’s defense.

Prediction: Giants 24, Falcons 34

Week 17 NY Giants vs. Indianapolis Colts on Dec 28-29

Indy is falling apart - maybe even more than the Giants. Anthony Richardson hasn’t shown he’s the answer, and their young team likely won’t have things together by this matchup. If Daniel Jones is back under center, expect him to come out swinging with a big bounce-back game, possibly tossing two touchdowns as he fights to hold onto his starting role.

Prediction: Giants 24, Colts 17

Week 18 NY Giants at Philadelphia Eagles on Jan. 5

This is Saquon Barkley’s last shot at revenge against the Giants before next season. He’s been on an absolute tear this year and is a legitimate MVP candidate. Expect Barkley to put up a huge game against his former team and roll into the playoffs on a hot streak.

Prediction: Giants 10, Eagles 30

There you have it - the Giants finish the season at a disappointing 5-12, a step back from last year’s 6-11 mark. A record like this should secure them a top-2 draft pick, and it could very well lead to changes at both the head coach and GM positions.
