This is going off the standings from NFL.com and who they have listed for the top six in the conference. Now it is kind of confusing because not everyone has played everyone and some have played more division games than others and the Cardinals, Packers, and Saints are all 2-2. And the fact that the Saints have a better conference record than the Cardinals and Packers, but are listed underneath them, even though all the teams have undefeated division records. As you can see it is all rather confusing and I started to use the NFL’s 12 steps to determining [...]

If The Playoffs Started Today…
ESPN and ESPN.com Need Fixing
The pre-game news should pick up tomorrow, as it always does on Wednesdays, but in the mean time, here are some other tidbits and random thoughts on this rather blah Tuesday.
The Monday Night broadcast team is pretty annoying. Mike Tirico is fine, let him stay, but Ron Jaworski and Tony Kornheiser along side him could be changed. You need Tirico (well you don’t need him but you need a play by play voice) so pencil him in. But why do they need three people in the booth? It seems like Monday Night tradition of recent years at least, but NBC, [...]
The New York Bengals?
Usually NFL criminal stories are in some way, shape, or form related to the Cincinnati Bengals. But when two stories in a week come out involving the New York Giants, then that calls for some blogging. So here is the recent police log involving members of the Big Blue.
Earlier today I wrote that I would not get into the Plaxico Burress situation because aside from the suspension the monetary matters don’t really, well, matter. But now after it has come out recently that Plax had some problems at his home where he was supposedly involved in domestic disturbances, it appears [...]

Injuries And Plax
It seems the Giants and Plaxico Burress have reached their deal regarding the suspension and the money that Plaxico will lose because of it. But since he still isn’t play in the game Sunday, there is really no need to get into all the details about how much money he will lose, since that doesn’t really matter to any of us.
On to the injuries…
WR Mario Manningham (Flu) – Did Not Practice
DE Jerome McDougle (Knee) - Did Not Practice
CB R.W. McQuarters (Calf) – Limited
Monday Morning Hangover
With Big Blue having the week off, it gave me the chance to watch the other games and listen (thanks to Sirius) to the happenings around the league not including the New York Giants.
The best game of the day happened to be the last one between the Eagles and Bears, but we will get to that later, and how the Eagles choked away a game that has now put them at the bottom of the division. But before we get to how Philly found last place, there was plenty of other stories from around the league.
A couple Wednesdays ago, I [...]
Week 4 Picks
After a promising 10-6 start to the picks in Week 1, it has been downhill the past two weeks with a 14-17 record. So, this week instead of just posting the games I thought I would give a sentence of analysis as I type them, that way I can justify them and make sure I am not choosing anything stupidly.
Denver Broncos -10 @ Kansas City Chiefs
Well let’s see, the Broncos have the best offense in the NFL right now and the Chiefs have the worst. Not to mention the Chiefs LOST to the Raiders, and the Broncos absolutely EMBARRASSED the [...]
The Boring Bye Week
Nothing is worse than the bye week in the NFL. Obviously it is beneficial to teams who have injuries and for players to get a little breather at some point in the season, but from a fan’s stand point, it is the worst part of the NFL season.
Just when the season gets going and the Giants pump out three wins in a row, here comes the bye week to disrupt their momentum and cause for an uneventful weekend. Not only are the Giants off, but so are the Colts and the Patriots, two team that are shaping up to be [...]
Antonio Pierce On Mike’d Up
I forgot to post this the other day, but here is the link to Antonio Pierce’s weekly spot on Mike’d Up, Francesa on the Fan on WFAN.
